1. Service Description

Underline Books is a personal reading quote library. It lets you import your reading history from Goodreads or StoryGraph, browse and search quotes from your books, and discover memorable passages. By using this service, you agree to these terms.

2. Subscription & Billing

  • New accounts include a 30-day free trial. No charge is made during the trial period.
  • After the trial, the subscription renews at $2.99/month, billed via Stripe.
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to your registered email address.

3. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal (accessible from your account nav). Upon cancellation, you retain access to the service until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.

4. Acceptable Use

Underline Books is a personal-use tool. You agree not to:

  • Share your account with others or resell access
  • Automate requests in ways that place excessive load on our servers
  • Attempt to scrape, copy, or extract data from the service at scale
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose

5. Your Content

Your reading library data (imported books and quotes) remains yours. We do not claim ownership over it. You grant us a limited license to store and display it to you as part of providing the service.

6. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, data integrity, or uninterrupted access. Quote data is sourced from Goodreads and may be incomplete or inaccurate.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of Underline Books is limited to the amount you paid in subscription fees in the 3 months preceding the claim.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service operator resides. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation before any formal proceedings.
